Suspected militant nabbed in hospital

A wounded man believed to be one of the insurgents who attacked a marine base in Narathiwat's Bacho district on Wednesday has been arrested while receiving treatment for a bullet wound at Narathiwat Hospital and is now in police custody.

Col Pramote Prom-in, spokesman for the Region 4 Internal Security Operations Command, said the man claimed he was shot in an incident someplace else, and did not take part in the attack.

He did not disclose the identity of the suspect.

The terrorists do not quite understand that the more they kill people, especially innocent people, and disrupt everyone's lives, the more people will turn against them until the opposition becomes very public and fearless. Once women rise up against them, they will know they cannot achieve their goals anymore. Indeed, I think that they have already lost their cause, and each new murder is like another nail being hammered into their cause's coffin. They should also understand that there will be no amnesty for the killers when they eventually give up, which is inevitable.
