Pol Gen Jate Mokolhatthee, who chairs the committee, said the panel has yet to dig up any proof of fraud in the 5.8-billion-baht project involving the construction of 396 police stations.

Tarit was trying to score some points with the PTP (TS) by saying AV & ST "did it". Now that it shows that some of the great leaders buddies are involved this will go now where.

The battle will never be fully settled between the pot and the kettle.

It's got 'no-bid' insider scam written all over it.

So in summation they 'can't see the forest for the trees'

brilliant #7 - That is why I think it is now a criminal case. Who in PTP has their hand in this pot? I don't know. May be none. That is why there is an investigation. Already, they are people intimidating investigating agency with lawsuit instead of cooperating and assisting in the investigation.

I don't want to say I told you so (actually I do), but I distinctly remember warning the Red Shirt Fans not to get carried away gloating. Some of them seemed to think that when Tarit mentions Suthep, it's automatically a guilty verdict...

I doubt a charge will even be laid.

Well, clearly, everyone did what they were supposed to do in an efficient, straight forward manner but................... where are the police stations, buildings and,a small matter - "show me the money " !

Single source contract on the scale of this size immediately raises red flags!! It's a country wide contract, not one restricted to the Bangkok region only. Contract management and construction time lines would've been very serious potential problems from the outset, so why did the approving committee approve? No doubt some swift talking and failed appearances to contract management meetings allowed the company to gain further extensions in time. OK, take away their bid bond and start civil action against non-completion of contract, instead of finger pointing. They have breached their contract conditions now take action!

Trying to understand what's the fuzz all about. Whether civil or criminal, both commit legal infraction and chargeable. Even if it's prosecuted under civil case and corruption was proven, a criminal corruption charge can still be served.

"The winning bidder was proven to be well-qualified, said Pol Gen Jate." If that were actually true then why haven't the police stations been built already?
