Gold prices down 150 baht

The Gold Traders Association this morning announced the buying prices 22,709.68 baht per baht-weight for gold ornaments and 23,050 baht per baht-weight for gold bar.

The selling prices were set at 23,550 baht per baht-weight for gold ornaments, and 23,150 baht per baht-weight for gold bar.

The gold prices were down 150 baht from yesterday’s close.

    Yet again local prices not following the international trend. There is record buying of gold by worldwide central banks, up 17% for 2012 vs 11. China is purchased vast quantities already in 2013.

    Very wealthy people and banks are suppressing the price so that they can absorb as much physical gold as possible.
