Poll: Pongsapat draws ahead in race

Pol Gen Pongsapat Pongcharoen of the Pheu Thai Party is increasing his lead in opinion polls in the race to the March 3 Bangkok governor election, Suan Dusit Poll reported on Friday.

The gap between Pol Gen Pongsapat and his main rival, former Bangkok governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra of the Democrat Party, had widened from a 4.88% lead at the second curve in the race to 9.91% in the latest survey, the pollster reported.

The pollster at Suan Dusit Rajabhat University said opinions were sought from 3,198 eligible voters in all 50 districts of Bangkok between Feb 9 and Feb 13.

If the Dems had picked another candidate Sukhumbhand would have run as an independent and split the vote, they would be in just as poor a position as they are now.

I simply cannot believe Bangkokians would already have forgotten who burned and terrorised their city and prevented fellow citizens to go to work... Or have fallen for the usual empty promises of the Dubai marketing machine..... If they do then they will get what they voted for.....disaster...

The Dems have the political savvy of a hub cap. Instead of Sukhumbhand, they would have had a better chance of winning the Bangkok governorship with Korn... or a hub cap.

Bangkokians are very smart and will elect the right candidate.
