Songkhla to pay Hat Yai bomb bounty

Songkhla province will pay the offered 500,000 baht reward to the people who gave information leading to the arrest of Jaema Wani, who has admitted planting the car bomb that exploded in Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel in Hat Yai district last year, Songkhla governor Krisda Boonrach said on Friday.

Police arrested Mr Jaema on Feb 5 and during questioning he admitted that he and two other men drove a car fitted with the explosives and parked it in the basement of the hotel on March 31, 2012.

The subsquent explosion killed three people and injured more than 350 other people, and caused untold damage to Hat Yai's tourism industry.

    So why is tyhere a bounty on his head, and not his presece in jail?
