Southern teachers have demanded the Office of the Basic Education Commission (Obec) return the authority to appoint school executives to primary educational service area offices.
The move aims to promote power decentralisation in educational administration as stated in the country's second round of educational reform during 2009-2018.
They say central administration is too slow and has led to a shortfall in school executives.
