There is at least one oxymoron, one paradox and outright error in saying ""sit around " as, we all know they "lay" around, and then the non-
translatable "think" and the impossible "do". Rumors have it that Japan can replace Thai govt. employees for $800 each but have to equip them with special motors as they move too swiftly and blinking led lights would probably disturb other sleeping Govt. employees !

"The government's 350 billion baht water management and flood prevention programme will also include measures to give drought-affected areas access to more water, she said."
It makes one wounder why the 350 billion was pushed through the parliment. It is still hasen't been used and they are always talking about "will also include".
It would be interesting to see an accounting firm, that is not connected to any govt employee, audit the books. I'll bet a lot of it is missing.

There are NO, nada, none, zero long term solutions to drought ! Easy to issue order and reminds one of President Roosevelt when told German subs were seen off coast of the U.S, in 1942,and asked for a solution, said "boil the ocean, subs, like eggs will rise and shoot them" ! When asked how to "boil" the ocean he said " My job is to give orders, your job is to impliment them "

Do all her ministers just sit around waiting to be ordered to think and do something?
