Two people were arrested yesterday in connection with a knife attack on a Chulalongkorn University lecturer over a dispute allegedly sparked by a bad grade he gave four years ago.

Prapansak Promngam, 25, and Sasithon Tiyakhot, also 25, were charged in connection with Monday's knife attack on Jirawat Cheevarungroj, 49, a deputy dean of the Faculty of Engineering's Mining and Petroleum Engineering Department, at the Pathumwan campus on Monday.

The lecturer was ambushed by an attacker and slashed on the arm and back.
