Tanasak rejects terror threat

Supreme Commander Tanasak Patimapakorn says reports of a terrorist threat at the United States consulate in Chiang Mai are mere rumours.
He called on the public not to panic over the reports.
Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yubamrung said last week he had received information that al-Qaeda and Salafist terrorists planned to attack the US consulate in Chiang Mai this month and ordered a security boost.
