Smithy grow up, they want to turn the 3 southern provinces into an Islamic State, so don't you think that would imply they are Islamists and not ethno-nationalists. Talk about being pedantic with words.

I would sooner suspect a highly-trained, professional Thai-Marine force changed a whole lot of insurgent minds.

BP, please stop saying "Islamist". They are not Islamist. They are ethno-nationalist, who happen to be Muslim. Islamist is something quite different.

Won't it be more appropriate for DPM Chalerm travel to the south to meet with is new team of advisors since they all are already there?

All sounds so nice and friendly. Shoot or bomb a few people, hide in Malaysia for a few years, and be welcomed back to Thailand with charges dismissed. I hope the families of the dead farmers, teachrs and soldiers are as forgiving - if they are ever even asked!

They must have heard that The DPM comes to town. Let hear what he has to say and they wll tell the rest of them in Malaysia whether they should surender if they get treat fairly. They must pay for the crimes they have committed first. You see? Mr. Charlerm doesn't have to go south. the situation is already imprved.
