Journalist to testify over 6 temple deaths

Frenchman to appear as key witness for army

A French photojournalist will testify in court as the army's witness over the killing of six people at Wat Pathum Wanaram during the 2010 political violence, an army source says.

The source said the army had spent more than two years finding the photojournalist identified as Olivier Rotrou. Mr Rotrou is due to testify in court about the case next Thursday.

Soldiers of the 31st Infantry Regiment based in Lop Buri have been accused of killing six people at Wat Pathum Wanaram in Pathumwan district during the clashes between security forces and the red-shirt protesters on May 19, 2010.
