Police truck clamped for illegal parking

A photo of a wheel-clamped police pickup truck that was parked illegally at Srinagarind Hospital in Khon Kaen province went viral and drew praise from many netizens, reports said on Monday.

The reports said the police vehicle was locked up by a security guard at the hospital because it was parked in a prohibited area.

Most Thai netizens gave positive responses such as "Even the police must respect the law", "The police officer must relearn traffic regulations", "I hope the security guard won't be penalised for this",  and "Kudos for the security guard for doing what is right".

The only one who doesn't know that the police aren't special and have to follow the law is them .

Same as riding a motorbike without a helmet and pulling people over for doing the same 5 mins later.

I see police driving on the wrong side of the road occassionally, including my brother-in-law. I have talked to him about the importance of setting a good example. His response is always that he is a policeman and can do whatever he wants. Third world country at best.
