Old man charged with child rape

CHIANG MAI - A 72-year-old man has been arrested on charges of sexually harassing and raping his step-daughter for over seven years, according to reports.

Di Saesong was arrested after members of the Cheevit Mai Foundation for children's welfare took the girl (name withheld because she is a minor) into their custody and filed a complaint against him.

The suspect admitted to have raped the girl over a period of about eight years, from age 9-17.
