10-year-old street racer nabbed

Police detained 27 illegal street racers, commonly known as Vanz Boys, in Chon Buri's Muang district on Saturday night, including one who was only 10 years old.

Pol Col Surapong Thaiprasert, superintendent of Muang Chon Buri police station, said a team of 70 police officers and 30 police volunteers were deployed to crack down on the street racing gang in different areas of the city.

It is not only the mufflers. If one would check motorcycles carefully, you will find missing brake lights, tires worn to up to the inner carcass, broken rear foot pegs, non existing mirrors and more. As long these riding folks here in Thailand are not taught to take care of their motorcycles, and ride in a safe manner, there will be no reduction of fatalities on the roads of Thailand. The same thing applies to car drivers who are driving with their high beam and/or fog lights on, vans with worn out shocks and so on and so on. Harsh penalties and a boot should be applied everywhere. But Thailand sleeps.
