Multi-colours won't join amnesty talks

The so-called multi-colours will not take part in a planned discussion of a proposed new amnesty bill Monday because it is not the right time for it, their leader Tul Sitthisomwong said on Sunday.

Dr Tul said he had turned down House deputy speaker Charoen Chankomol's invitation for the group to attend the discussion over the new amnesty draft proposed by 42 Pheu Thai MPs led by Worachai Hema.

Mr Worachai's draft aims to grant amnesty to offenders, excluding protest leaders, between the Sept 19, 2006 coup and May 10, 2011.

Unlike the PAD, Tul and his multicolored group seem closely tied with the Dems. I'm not surprised they too, declined to join in the talks. The multicolored rallies are always rather small. There can't be too many of them and Tul's speeches (especially on Thai genetics) make Sondhi sound half way sane. He gets more media attention then he deserves.

Why were they occupying the airport? To protest against TRT leader Thaksin government because of abuse of power and corruption. Who orchestrated the violence in Bangkok and financed all the red shirts and men in black to perform killings against the government? The same person the PAD were demonstrating against at the airport before the coup that eventually ousted Thaksin where he fled justice but was sentenced all the same for gross abuse of power and corruption. Now they seek Amnesty!!! Crazy.

I believe anyone with the ability to really consider the matter will agree the law has already been clearly stated .No no need to make it up to suit your needs .

Amnesty would indicate no patients for or a total mistrust of the judical system as it is in it's present state. Granting amnesty and insuring a judical system seated by those favoring equal justice for all would be a huge step in the right direction to reconcilation.

Yawn, yet another PR stunt by the fugitive and his dictatorship. Didn't you get the message from the Bangkok voters? Educated Thais will not sell their freedom.

Oh God! I can't believe what I'm reading!
Do you people stop to think about what you're saying?

Multi coloured? Pad? You may not agree with them but they are protest groups and (wait for this astounding piece of information) they have EXACTLY the same rights as UDD!!! Yes UDD! The group that you forgive its murders and arson. But because you don't like the policies of these groups you think they don't count.

Do none of you have a sense of irony? (or shame)

Not sure why the media wants to even bother about the attention seeker Tul Sitthisomwong.

Though the government is trying to be inclusive, Tul's multi-colored group is irrelevant. Besides protesting to get attention for themselves, they have never done anything else that might remotely benefit the country.

Disc 1 - Exactly what position was Khun Thida elected to?

Sometimes I wonder about these politicians, are they there to really do their job FOR THE PEOPLE that put them there in the first place, or are they there to play their 'childish' games with Taxpayer money? What is there to boycott or reject or won't join in for the TALK or DISCUSSION. Do they expect everything on the table is already what they want then they will join? Then what is the meaning of TALK? Talk or Discussion prior to making decision is for people with different opinions or ideas to come together to go through the list of whoever requested, then amend, add or drop off the items from the list for final vote democratically. Shame!
