A 19-year-old who was only recently released from prison has been arrested and charged with the vicious rape of a disabled woman and admitted that he also planned to throw her into a pond, Sa Kaeo police said on Tuesday.

Pol Lt Manop Slatan, an investigating officer of Khao Chakan police station in Sa Kaeo province, said police received a report that a 23-year-old woman who could not talk or walk had been assaulted and raped in her home by Ekawat Wong-anu, who had been released from prison only five days earlier.
