Border park shut for world court ruling

The Khao Phra Viharn National Park has been temporarily closed to prevent nationalist groups from staging political activities ahead of the hearing by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on disputed areas around Preah Vihear temple.

To my knowledge (and own experience), Preah Vihear (Khao Phra Viharn) has always been closed ever since the troubles around the 4.6 sq.km have started. If you want to see this beautiful stone castle that has been severely damaged by the past shellings from the Thai Army, then you better go to Phnom Penh and take a bus to Preah Vihear where you will be welcome. It's only 20 US$ to climb the hill by PU. And that will remain so in the future, I am afraid. No way Thailand will ever win this case in the court and they should start realizing this and behave mature and fair. There is not even a single ornament at this pagoda which is "THAI"...
