Sukhumbhand clear of electoral red card

EC probe leaves governor endorsement up in the air

Bangkok governor-elect Sukhumbhand Paribatra has been spared a red card after the Election Commission (EC) found he did not defame the Pheu Thai Party during the city election.

However, the endorsement of his election victory remains uncertain as he may yet receive a yellow card from the EC.

A red card would have disqualified MR Sukhumbhand from office and stripped him of the right to seek re-election.

This soccer style approach by the Election Commission bothers me a little bit. As a hockey fan, I say they should throw Sirichoke and Seree into the "penalty box."

Disc 19 - So why didn't you report the incident to the polling authorities or the EC? You can report a poll incident as a voter. Nothing was done about it because you didn't do anything and left it for someone else to report, which apparently they did not either. You can't complain about voting irregularities if you accept those irregularities. You did vote right? If not, why does this bother you so much?

And when will the puppet sister be blamed for her affirmation that Bangkokians would only get government money if they elected Thaksin's puppet?

    bkposter,

"I can guarantee you that if the positions were reversed right now it would be the DP who was looking for some loophole to justify another election."

No loopholes required when PT is involved, plenty of irregularities to pick and choose from.

Where I live the redshirts stood right outside the electionbooths scaring people and demanding to know what they were going to vote.Less than 7 meters away a huge electionposter for the PT candidate was still on display as they were all around the electionbooths. All other posters had been taken down but not the PT posters. It should be PT that should be investigated and given a read card not the Democrates.I have pictures showing all the posters and I know the redshirts that bullied the voters.Wonder why nothing was done about all this ?

I guess we're to believe aliens burnt down the city, probably from mars since they mostly wore red shirts, as seen on youtube. The EC still hasn't acknowledged aliens as a campaign tool.

I think Chalerm is just trying to string this out to delay his appointment down south.
