Government urged to ignore Thaksin

Listen to the country, army chief, Abhisit say

Army Commander Prayuth Chan-ocha and Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva called Tuesday for the government to step out of the shadow of deposed prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.

It's time to cut loose from Big Brother, warn the army chief and opposition leader. (Bangkok Post file photo)

They were responding to news reports that the ex-premier had ordered the Pheu Thai-led administration to adamantly pursue its policies, particularly on amnesty and charter amendments.

    D.80 HUGO ( Italy ) & D.85.loyhaasip.

I said elsewhere that I have had farangs as subordinates. They are just like us. Their blood and ours share the same color, they think just like us - some good and some with irrational.

    They B/S just like us.

But when you said, " ...most of these opinionated farangs consider themselves to be far "superior" to Thais...", if this is what on your mine, then you are discriminating yourself.

People like you who can read & write and yet that's all you can think of, then it is pathetic, your sickness may be beyond the 30 bht.cure. Leave the blinkers, open your heart, and you may learn to be like m

1).Thais elected Yingluck knowing everything then as they do now about
    her brother.
2).No one, other than the PM and her brother know just what they may discuss.
Many brothers and siblings do not agree on anything.
3). The point here is not really the PM/Brother relationship, not on coups, not on shirt colors but on military people making any political statement at all - internationally this is forbidden or else ?

Re: D77 you are correct, but the readers here do not want to consider that corruption existed long before TS and was at the very hands of the very same people that now allege corruption.
The election was never about stopping corruption, it is to determine who will get to control it. The military and the elite have been first in line for many generations and feel entitled to that place and the enrichment it has bestowed upon them. They have never been shy about their nefarious use of the army or the court to get what they want and are now preparing to do it yet again and are looking for the opening to justify just that.

    Disc 80 Hugo.
You are exactly right, most of these opinionated farangs consider themselves to be far "superior" to Thais, in all respects - morally, educationally, politically, the list is endless.
" If I was Thai, I would feel insulted by many of the "farang" comments I read on BP."
A very perceptive observation, but, I suspect most Thais don't even bother to read this rubbish posted by visitors to our country, safe in the knowledge that:-
    1. The posters have no say in how Thailand is run or develops
    2. The comments posted show the writers for what they really are
    3. They will eventually go away and Thailand will continue to exist!

Listen to this ; An internal meeting which has some phone-in direction indicated the man was kind of upset and thread to change the president of the house if he could not manage to push forward the amnasty bill.

Somsak was kind of worry it could lead to govt. de-stabilize. But the man wanted to go ahead anyway., " Do it or I have the chaire replaced "

    The skype continues.

Meanwhile, new species such as those hiding behide foreign flags continue their smart a-- and pathetic comments. I would not name names this time, but I will the next time.

Prayuth may heard it too and he flexes, a little.

    Scary, but he means it

Ms. YS - The public did ask for reconciliation and peace, but they did not ask for an Amnesty Bill. I haven't heard YS say any smart, she keeps on saying giving what public wants, peace, lets work together, etc etc.

Disc 81 - Might think they are Hi So in Thailand but at home they are just middle class at best, and they all know it deep down inside.

Discussion 80 hugo : the farangs you mentioned bear the same thinking as those arrogant thai "elites" mostly living in bkk. They classify themselves as high class people when comparing with those grass-root ones in the country.

I have a feeling that most foreigners that live in Thailand, especially those staying in Bangkok, Patthaya, Phuket and all areas which are wrongly considered more "civilized" make one big mistake, they underestimate the Thais. Widespread idea is that Thais, especially those from rural areas, are a bunch of ignorant and illiterate people brainwashed by PT´ s propaganda and ready to sell their vote for 500 baht. I do not believe so. I believe Thais are far more intelligent and perceptive than many "farang" think. If I was Thai, I would feel insulted by many of the "farang" comments I read on BP.
