Cooking gas gang caught red-handed

SA KAEO - Three suspects were caught red-handed while trying to smuggle 244 cooking gas cylinders into neighbouring Cambodia through Aranyaprathet district of this province, police said Wednesday.
A police team cracking down on the illegal energy trade received a report at that a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) smuggling gang would cross the Thai-Cambodian border, Pol Col Worapong Thongpaibul, the team leader said.
A combined force of police and military rangers was deployed to the suspected smuggling route in Ban Toon. A six-wheeled truck laden with 244 15kg LPG cylinders arrived shortly after.
