Emergency units staff crisis

There are far too few emergency response medical personnel in the public health system to deal efficiently with the increasing number of medical emergencies, the National Institute of Emergency Medicine (NIEM) said in a statement released Thursday.

It said there were about 12 million medical emergencies each year with 30% involving patients who require immediate or urgent treatment.

    Cut out some corruption and you could afford more and better trained.

    Pay them a respectable salary then they wouldn't have to work part-time in private hospitals just to make ends meet.

    Why not train those volunteers working for scores of private foundations around the country to be able to provide basic emergency medical treatments beside what they are doing now?
