Many countries double penalties for crimes commited by
"officials" as they, under the public trust, were given
" The keys to the vault" so to speak.

"maximum disciplinary penalty would be dismissal from the force" Any one else in Thailand that gets arrested with drugs, goes directly to jail. Why are these police drug dealers any different? A job as a policeman pays 10,000 thb. If they sell drugs maybe 10,000,000 thb. If they get caught, all that happens is they lose their police job? Something very wrong with this double legal standard.

'The maximum disciplinary penalty would be dismissal from the force.'

The penalties for police who do crimes is harsh, so I doubt they get the maximum.
