Bidders fret on land access

Slow property deals risk flood plan delay

Qualified contenders in the 350-billion-baht water management project are worried they may not be able to expropriate land needed to carry out the work.

The companies say that confusion over the land deals may delay construction of the various water management projects.

The six qualified contenders yesterday questioned the land expropriation process at a forum organised by the Office of the National Water and Flood Management Policy.

    Lets hope K water gets this, they are very good (solved S Koreas water management problems) and don't do bribes.

    It seems the government wants a win/win situation, the companies take the risks and the flak, the government gets the kudos.
