The re-elected Bangkok governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra on Monday postponed his plan to unveil his dream team of four deputy governors and 18 advisors to run City Hall.
The team of deputy governors was previously scheduled to be officially introduced to the public Monday along with an 18-member advisory team. A source close to MR Sukhumbhand said the planned announcement was postponed after Krairerk Kraithip, ex-chairman of Chatuchak weekend market management commitee, refused the Democrat Party’s proposal to sit as City Hall’s fourth deputy governor.
The name of Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) president Jarumporn Chotikasathien emerged as the potential fourth deputy governor in some media reports today, but Mr Jarumporn immediately denied the speculation.
