Northern train line resumes

All trains to Chiang Mai and the North have resumed normal service after the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) repaired damaged tracks in Lampang. 

An SRT official said a derailed locomotive and carriages were lifted back on the track and line repairs were completed at 6pm Wednesday.

The line from Lampang to Chiang Mai was clear for trains to run, he added.
