The Royal Thai Police Office (RTPO) has tightened security at the US embassy in Bangkok and other important locations following two deadly bomb blasts at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
National police chief Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew yesterday ordered the Immigration Bureau, the Special Branch Police and the Foreign Affairs Division to check through six months of travel records of people who have entered Thailand who may be linked to criminal activities.
He also ordered security to be tightened at the US embassy and the offices and homes of US officials here. The police chief asked the RTPO's operation centre to monitor the situation.
