The government will request an extraordinary meeting of the House of Representatives on May 29-30, when parliament is officially still in recess, to consider the 2014 Budget Bill, PM's Office Minister Varathep Rattanakorn said on Wednesday.
Mr Varathep made the announcement after a meeting of economic affairs ministers.
The government will first ask government and opposition whips whether they object to the proposal. The meeting could be extended another day if two days is not enough, he said.
