A noodle vendor from Uthai Thani province is a new suspect in the case of a Bangkok banker whose dismembered body was found in plastic bags in a dry canal in Chai Nat province.

Police questioned vendor Pradit Suwannaphak, 46, yesterday after they discovered the victim, Kriangkrai Khwan-on, 24, had been at Mr Pradit's home shortly before his death.

Crime Suppression Division superintendent Pol Col Niran Namsuwan said Mr Pradit was released after questioning as police are still gathering evidence.
