The Royal Irrigation Department (RID) is claiming success for this year's dry season after providing water to nearly 18 million rai of farmland over the six-month period.
The figure exceeded the RID's target for water supply to agricultural land by more than 1 million rai. The department also reported about 10% of its allocated water supply remained unused.
RID deputy spokesman Thongplew Kongjun yesterday declared the end of its dry season water management plan, which was initiated on Nov 1, 2012.
