The Royal Forest Department will next month launch a massive crackdown on landlords with large-scale properties that encroach on protected forest areas.
Department chief Boonchob Sutthamanuswong said he had drawn up a list of people encroaching on more than 50 rai of forested land.
"We will start with the big cases first. We will destroy all crops and structures on their lands," Mr Boonchob said.
