SCHOOL VAN DEATH
The Education Ministry is considering requiring that all vehicles used to transport young students be equipped with a movement detector to prevent kids being unintentionally locked in.
School vehicle regulations would need to be amended for this to happen.
The move follows the death of a three-year-old girl last month after she was left in a school van in sweltering heat for several hours in Samut Prakan.
