DSI probe finds against GPO boss

- +

The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has found the head of the Government Pharmaceutical Organisation colluded over prices and committed dereliction of duty in connection with the construction of a vaccine factory.

DSI chief Tarit Pengdith yesterday said the DSI found three main facts leading it to believe that Witit Artavatkun, the GPO managing director, had violated the bidding price law and Section 157 of the Criminal Code.

First, Dr Witit was found to have altered the budget set aside to cover the vaccine factory's design cost from 8 million baht to 20 million baht, Mr Tarit said.
