Thailand and Laos aim to boost cooperation between civic networks at the 2nd Joint Cabinet Retreat being held in Chiang Mai today.
Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and her Lao counterpart Thongsing Thammavong will lead their respective cabinets in the meeting at Le Meridien Chiang Mai in Muang district. It is the first such meeting in eight years.
The prime minister's secretary-general Suranand Vejjajiva said the two countries would celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Thai-Lao Association for Friendship at the meeting.
