About 70 opposition MPs are lining up to take part in the 2014 Budget Bill debate in parliament on May 29-30, opposition chief whip Jurin Laksanavisit said on Wednesday.
Mr Jurin said the opposition agreed at a preparation meeting to invite representatives of the Budget Bureau, Public Debt Management and Comptroller's General Department to present evidence relating to the Budget Bill.
He said government has set the 2014 expenditure budget at 2.52 trillion baht, of which 2.27 trillion baht will be generated from revenue collection. But loans will be needed to make up the 250,000 million baht deficit, he said.
