Police are asking the Office of the Attorney-General for permission to conduct investigations in South Korea, where a 17-year-old girl was allegedly lured into being a prostitute.
They want to interrogate witnesses at a shop where the girl worked and gather evidence with a view to arresting more suspects, Anti-Human Trafficking Division chief Pol Maj Gen Chawalit Sawaengphuet said.
Earlier the Criminal Court approved warrants for the arrest of two Thai women and a Korean man. They were named as Phiangjai Phanplado, 43, the aunt of the victim; Thippawan Tempao, 26; and Chun Song-kuem, 36.
