The Customs Department has ordered officials at border checkpoints nationwide to block owners of luxury cars from taking their vehicles out of the country.
This Lamborghini Aventador was legally imported but was declared as a lower-priced Gellardo. The Customs Department fined the importer double the price, or a total lof 30 million baht in tariffs.
The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) requested the action after receiving a tip that some owners would try to move their vehicles out of the country to avoid a tax evasion investigation.
