Local politicians and civil servants could be held liable for the deadly bridge collapse in Ayutthaya in late April, police said on Wednesday. 

The collapse of the suspension bridge over the Pasak River in Tha Rua district killed four people and injured dozens.

Relatives of the victims on Wednesday met Tha Rua police chief Jitkasem Sonkham to demand the investigation into the collapse be sped up.
