Shadow ministers from the Democrat Party on Wednesday passed a resolution to file for the removal of the entire cabinet of the Yingluck Shinawatra government for approving bidding on its 350 billion baht water management projects, Atthawich Suwanpakdi said.
Mr Atthawich, spokesman for the shadow government, said the resolution was made on the grounds that the bidding process favoured a limited selection of major entrepreneurs. This allowed the four firms that took part in the bidding to collude on price, he said.
Moreover, the Yingluck cabinet did not comply with a suggestion from the National Anti-Corruption Commission regarding median prices, he said. It might also have violated Section 67 of the constitution which requires public participation, he added.
