New anti-corruption drive kicks off

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Tuesday kicked off a new campaign against corruption, promising transparency and good governance throughout the government. 

Cabinet members, permanent secretaries of all ministries, chiefs of all departments, heads of state enterprises, and high-level officials were told to attend the kickoff meeting, where Ms Yingluck vowed to combat corruption and promote good governance.

She promised legal action against anyone involved in corrupt activities.
