The National Human Rights Commission says it will conclude its investigation into charges of human rights abuses involving Rohingya refugees this month. The NHRC is also moving ahead with trafficking charges against a police officer.

More than 2,000 Rohingya are housed in 24 different locations nationwide. Seven of the refugees in Ubon Ratchathani and Songkhla, who were towed ashore after escaping persecution in Myanmar, have died.
