Price cut for school tablets

An Education Ministry committee overseeing school tablet computer procurement says Thai firm Supreme Distribution has agreed to cut its price for supplying computers. 

Supreme Distribution won the bid to supply 426,683 tablets for Mathayom 1 (Grade 7) students and teachers in central and southern provinces in the second phase of the government's One Tablet PC Per Child scheme.

It won with a bid of 1.24 billion baht, or 2,908.24 baht apiece, which is 0.4% lower than the median price of 2,920 baht.
