Deputy Defence Minister Yuthasak Sasiprapa will lead the Thai delegation to the 20th Thai-Lao Joint Boundary Committee (JBC) meeting in the Lao capital of Vientiane on July 18 as assigned by Defence Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, defence spokesman Col Thanathip Sawangsaeng said on Sunday.

The 22-member Thai delegation will include Supreme Commander Thanasak Patimaprakorn or his representative, chiefs-of-staff of the armed forces, the interior permanent secretary, the commerce permanent secretary, and representatives of the National Security Council, Royal Thai Police Office and Customs Department.

The 20th Thai-Lao JBC meeting, hosted by Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Douangchai Phichit, is for the two sides to exchange opinions on and review and assess actions taken after the 19th JBC meeting and to tighten relations between the two countries.
