It all seemed so logical. With the death rate among Thais running at a steady 100%, and the number of Thais who eat rice in their lives also at 100%, there must surely be a link.

Or at least that seemed to be the strongest evidence brought to yet another rice issue during a sudden and startling spike in expressed fears that the country's rice - overpriced, overstocked and overwhelmed with corruption - had suddenly become unhealthy. Not just unhealthy, but actually toxic.
