Air force tasked to buy VIP aircraft

Prime Minister and Defence Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has tasked the air force under ACM Prajin Jantong with the acquisition of four aircraft for transporting members of the royal family and very important persons including the prime minister and other cabinet members, an air force source said. 

The aircraft are to be bought with the Prime Minister's Office's budget.

According to the source, the first aircraft will be used as an alternative aircraft for transporting members of the royal family. It will be bought with a three-year (2014-2016) tied-over budget of 3.78 billion baht.
