A lawyer for Thaksin Shinawatra plans to file defamation charges in connection with statements made about the murder of businessman Akeyuth Anchanbutr.
Noppadon Pattama said on Saturday that he had assigned his lawyers to file complaints with police against Akeyuth's former lawyer, Suwat Apaipak, and a lawyer for the People's Alliance for Democracy, Atchara Saengkhao.
Akeyuth, a former pyramid scheme operator and anti-Thaksin campaigner, was reported missing on June 6. His body was found in Phattalung on June 12.
