NEB won't appeal cadmium case

The National Environment Board (NEB) will not appeal a court order for three tambons in Tak province to be declared environmental protection zones because of cadmium contamination.

Sunee Piyapanpong, the deputy director-general of the Pollution Control Department, said on Friday that the NEB would abide by the Phitsanulok Administrative Court ruling but would ask to extend the deadline for designating the zones.
