Pakorn Buranapakorn, a former Pheu Thai MP for Chiang Mai, died of heart failure at Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok at 5am on Sunday. He was 55.
His body will be moved to Chiang Mai where a funeral will be held at Wat Chedi Luang in Muang district this evening.
Pakorn was born on November 5, 1958 in Chiang Mai. He was mayor of the Chiang Mai Municipality between 1998-2000 and was first elected MP of the now-defunct Thai Rak Thai Party in 2001.
