About 10,000 rubber and palm oil growers from southern provinces are expected to rally in Surat Thani province tomorrow, a protest leader said on Monday.

Manoon Upala, chairman of the Wiang Sa Agricultural Cooperative, said protesters would demand 92 baht for a kilogramme of raw rubber sheet and 101 baht per kilogramme for smoked rubber sheet.

There would be no blockades of roads or airports, but the protests would be intensified if the government did not respond, he said.
