Government revenue from tax collection in the first 11 months of the 2013 fiscal year totalled 1.96 trillion baht, exceeding the earlier estimate by 52 billion baht, or 2.7%, Somchai Sajjapongse, director general of the Fiscal Policy Office, said on Thursday.
Collected revenue was up 9.1% on the same period last year, on the back of the higher-than-target collections from excise tax on cars and petroleum, and personal income tax, Mr Somchai said.
The combined revenue collected by the departments of Customs, Revenue and Excise exceeded the set target by 2.28 billion baht. Revenue of other state agencies also higher than the target by 47.6 billion baht, he said.
