A total of 54 tambons in 17 districts of seven provinces have been hit by flash floods, triggered by continuing heavy rain, according to Chatchai Promlert, director-general of the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department.

Phitsanulok, Ayutthaya, Angthong, Kalasin, Surin, Si Sa Ket and Ubon Ratchathani were the hardest hit by Friday, but with reports coming in of flooding in Chon Buri.
